A special night out in KL

Natalie and Barbs arrived safe and sound (if exhausted) from their 4 month backpacking trip around South America and it was great to see them.

It was Nat’s birthday and we took them out on the town in KL. It was a Friday evening and the traffic was more chaotic than usual and it took us a full 2 hours to get into town.

We went for pre-dinner drinks at the Heli Lounge Bar. You go up 34 floors in the lift, get your drinks at the bar and then climb one more floor to the roof of the building. It is used as a helipad during the day but at night they put out chairs and tables and you can enjoy an unobstructed view of the city.

We then went on to dinner at Canteloupe at Troika Sky Dining. We sat outside on the balcony and again had an amazing view of the twin towers. The food (and wine) were very yummy.

Traffic jams aside, we had a lovely night out. Thanks to my South African friend Cathy for the tips on where to go – she was spot on!

Just had to add another few pictures of Daniel and I all glammed up! This time out to a Chaîne des Rôtisseurs dinner. 🙂
